WHY TEST YOUR MICROBIOME?

Whether you're managing symptoms, planning for fertility, or just want real answers — it starts with knowing what's actually going on in your body.

GET TO THE ROOT

Chronic BV, UTIs, yeast infections aren't random. See the bacterial patterns behind them — and finally treat the cause, not just the flare-up.

KNOW WHAT YOU'RE SHARING

Reinfection isn't always on you. Test together and find out what's really passing between you.

GET AHEAD OF FERTILITY

Microbiome imbalances can affect sperm health and pregnancy. Know where you stand before you start trying.

STAY AHEAD, NOT BEHIND

One test is a moment in time. Catch changes early — before the next flare-up starts.

Some answers only make sense together.

There Are Two People in Intimacy

So why do we keep testing one? Anteros lets you explore your microbiome solo or compare alongside your partner.

ONE MICROBIOME OR TWO. YOUR HEALTH, IN CONTEXT.

The Self-Test Kit

Start with you. A simple at-home swab gives you a closer look at your vaginal or penile microbiome—so you can better understand the community of microbes living in your body.

The Partner-Test Kit

Some patterns only appear when you look at both people. Test two microbiomes side by side to explore what you share, where you differ, and what your results can reveal together.

ANTEROS

(Greek: Ἀντέρως, Antérōs)

LOVE, RETURNED.

In Greek mythology, Anteros represented reciprocal love, love that is returned rather than experienced in only one direction. We chose the name because we believe intimate health deserves the same reciprocity.

Not just you. Not just them. Both.

WHY CHOOSE ANTEROS?

After dealing with chronic UTIs, I was tested and treated repeatedly while my partner was left out of the conversation. It revealed a larger problem:

intimate health is shared, but healthcare still treats us individually. We built Anteros to look at both sides because some answers only make sense together.

Anteros relieved so much strain from my intimacy and my relationship. Understanding what microbes were there I wasn’t seeing from my normal clinical visits was extremely validating. Comparing our reports was a great sanity check. The fact no one tested my partner never sat right with me. I can't wait to see how Anteros continues to support couples who are stuck in cycle of recurrence!

My girlfriend tried other testing companies but we never understood how or if I was contributing to her recurrent bacterial vaginosis. We saw we shared similar disruptive microbes in our sample and took them to our provider who helped the both of us get treated at the same time. She hasn’t had any recurrent symptoms for a few months! Every couple who may be on the fence should test with Anteros and at least verify they may not be paying a role in their partners symptoms.

Easy to use. I had no difficulty swabbing with my partner and syncing our results together made it easier to compare our results side by side. I was pleased to see we didn’t share any problematic bacteria so now we can move on and potentially start family planning.

Anteros helped guide me through back to back yeast infections then UTIs. A lot of my symptoms overlapped so there was a time when it wasn’t really clear what I was treating. My chronic pain prohibited so much from my personal life and made it hard to go through day to day. The portal was so much more simple and intuitive compared to other testing companies. I look forward for Anteros to expand their post on follow on care!

My wife is in menopause and has been struggling with recurrent symptoms over the last few years. We tried over the counter products but wanted to check I wasn’t contributing to any of the reinfections. We haven’t seen any other at home test include partners so we wanted to give it a try. The platform made it easy for us to check our results and track them over time if we needed to. We got the clarity we needed to take back to our provider. We would recommend Anteros to other couples who want to be proactive about their health or want to rule out partner transmission.
