The Anteros score gives you and your partner a comprehensive picture of your individual and combined intimate microbiome’s health and characteristics.

  • Beneficial Percentage

    This number shows the total percentage of “friendly” microbes in your sample. These are organisms that help maintain a healthy environment and protect against unwanted intruders. A higher number here generally indicates a healthier microbiome.

  • Concerning Percentage

    This number indicates the total percentage of microbes that could potentially cause problems or disrupt the healthy balance of your microbiome. Lower numbers here are generally better.

  • Context-Dependent Percentage

    This represents microbes that can be either helpful or harmful depending on their environment and the presence of other organisms. Think of these as the “it depends” category – they’re not inherently good or bad, but their impact varies based on circumstances.

  • Microbiome Type Indicator

    This number helps identify whether your microbiome’s composition is more characteristic of: a typical penile microbiome, a typical vaginal microbiome or somewhere in between
