Your Anteros score provides a snapshot of microscopic life in intimate areas using four key numbers: the percentage of helpful microbes (B), the percentage of context-dependent microbes whose effects vary based on circumstances (I), and the percentage of potentially disruptive microbes (O). The fourth number (ME) indicates whether your microbiome composition more closely resembles typical penile or vaginal bacterial communities, or falls somewhere in between.
Together, the Anteros score give you a comprehensive picture of your intimate microbiome’s health and characteristics.
This number shows the total percentage of “friendly” microbes in your sample. These are organisms that help maintain a healthy environment and protect against unwanted intruders. A higher number here generally indicates a healthier microbiome.
This represents microbes that can be either helpful or harmful depending on their environment and the presence of other organisms. Think of these as the “it depends” category – they’re not inherently good or bad, but their impact varies based on circumstances.
This number indicates the total percentage of microbes that could potentially cause problems or disrupt the healthy balance of your microbiome. Lower numbers here are generally better.
This number helps identify whether your microbiome’s composition is more characteristic of: a typical penile microbiome, a typical vaginal microbiome or somewhere in between
